Editing
This week we have been editing our opening sequence, we have come across various issues while editing. Our first problem was getting used to using final cut express. We imported our clips and cut them down to the length we wanted them to make a 'rough copy' of our opening sequence. Once this was done we cut each shot down making it more of a finalized version. After doing this we began to work out the continuity editing during the shots inside the school. We found this hard to cut it perfectly so the audio and visual would work together. After finally managing to successfully do this, we began thinking about music. We looked on websites to find some music for our opening sequence but found nothing. After much deliberation we found the music we wanted to use in garage band. We cut this to the desired length and matched it up. After finally having the music and main shots sorted we worked on the titles. We made our titles in livetype and then exported them and put them into final cut. It took us a very long time for the shot with the bus as the text was not appearing how and when we wanted to. finally we managed to make it work. Once we had finished with the titles it was time to sort out the sound from one or two shots. It took a while for us to work out how to do this in final cut but eventually we managed to do this and it was relatively simple. After all of this we had finally finished our opening sequence.
